Puai Wichman LLB – Managing Director
Puai is the Managing Director of Ora Fiduciary (Cook Islands) Limited, a registered Trustee Company in the Cook Islands, regulated by the Financial Supervisory Commission. Puai is currently a board member of the Financial Services Development Authority.
Puai has been involved in the Cook Islands financial services industry for over 25 years. His area of expertise is firmly focused on asset protection and the provision of international wealth preservation services. Prior to founding Ora Fiduciary, Puai spent a number of years working in very diverse areas of the offshore financial services sector including, banking, insurance and sophisticated cross border structuring.
Tuaine Marsters LLB – Office Manager and Executive Director
H.X. Lady Tuaine Marsters has a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Waikato, New Zealand. She was appointed as a Director in August 2015. She is expected to progressively assume day to day responsibilities within Ora as Office Manager and Executive Director. Her role includes management of personnel and ongoing regulatory compliance.
Hon. Valentino Tefa’atau Wichman LLB QYL – Director
Valentino attended the University of Auckland and graduated with a Conjoint Law and Arts degree. Valentino is admitted to the High Court of New Zealand and the High Court of the Cook Islands as a Barrister and Solicitor.
In 2012 Valentino started employment with Ora Fiduciary (Cook Islands) Limited before moving on to work in the public service sector in 2013 with the Ministry of Health as Manager of Policy, Research, Monitoring & Evaluation. Valentino has developed many National Policies and Strategies including the development of the Cook Islands 5 year National Health Strategy and the 20 Year Health Road Map – a first in this part of the world. Valentino is currently the Director of Central Policy and Planning Office at the Cook Islands Office of the Prime Minister which provides advice on priorities of the country.
Valentino was a member of the dynamic 2017 and 2018 Budget Support Group (BSG) who looked at all the new proposals from agencies across the public sector and helped in prioritising the proposals in accordance with the Cook Islands National Sustainable Development Plan.
Valentino is a very active advocate and campaigner for human rights which has led to receipt of the prestigious Queens Young leader’s (QYL) award in June 2016 from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Valentino is also an Associate Fellow of the Royal Commonwealth Society
Valentino brings to the Board of Directors a highly transferable skill set in the area of strategic and legal planning.
